BIA Office

Historic Downtown Chatham Business Improvement Area (BIA) has been in existence for over 30 years.  The mandate of the BIA is twofold:  to promote the area as a dining, shopping and entertainment district and to beautify the area.  The BIA is promoted through local newspapers and radio stations, through national publications, through our own What's Up Downtown magazine and through our Facebook page and website.  Events such as Retrofrest, Sidewalk Sales, Harvest & History and the Chatham Santa Claus Parade are hosted in Downtown Chatham.  The BIA has provided benches and garbage cans, planted flowers and installed some lighting in the trees downtown to distinguish the BIA district.

Why BIA Office?

Going forward, the BIA is always looking for ways to beautify the area and to make the area safe for all guests.  We are currently exploring several ideas to assist with the beautification and the safety.
